Art therapists will be responsible for providing individual, group, and environmental art therapy and assessment services to youth at YRC. The trauma specialist/art therapist will also provide on-site crisis management, support the work of the therapist, and provide clinical supervision for creative arts staff and trainees. Senior Art Therapists are responsible for the direct care of complex clinical cases through the ITA Private Therapy and Community Partnership Programs and provide supervision to ITA Therapists and Masters-level clinical trainees. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Clinical Director will be responsible for providing special care and will support clinical leadership who meet regularly with ITA Creative Therapists.
Participate in programs that provide community education in expressive therapy and report to the Director of Pain Management Programs. Provides in-service programs to train therapy staff and volunteers. Design and implement therapeutic services that meet the needs/goals of the client, programs related to other disciplines and support the philosophy of ReMed. Generates monthly treatment plan reports based on the recommendations and timelines specified in the Goal Setting Guide and documents therapy sessions in session notes as they occur.
The Expressive Therapist works in an interdisciplinary hospice team. Coordinates with the Program Director and ensures that the team is effectively aligned with the National Essential Arts Coalition’s R2R standards. A vibrant community of musicians, dancers and supporters of the Hochstein schools decided to come together to develop the ability to speak and communicate through music, dance and the expressive arts (music, art and dance therapy).
